Listen up, Fire Country fans! CBS has finally announced the finale date for Season 2 of the firefighter drama, and it looks like viewers only have a few more episodes to soak up before the show goes on hiatus for the summer.

From Bode’s prison sentence to his Cara’s surprising death and more, Fire Country has kept fans glued to their primetime television screens.
While there’s more to come from this fairly new series, CBS has set a date of Friday, May 17 as the show’s final episode for Season 2. It’ll follow the series finale of the now canceled, S.W.A.T.
As of this writing, no other details of Fire Country’s season finale have been revealed. Still, the show loves to deal with emergencies, so it wouldn’t be shocking if Three Rock and Station 42 had to deal with some sort of natural disaster like a mudslide, tornado, or another high-level emergency. Only time will tell.

The good news is that whatever the Season 2 finale brings, fans can rest assured that there will be a Season 3. Last month, CBS renewed Fire Country for another year, which likely means that viewers can expect a major cliffhanger during the May 17th show.
With that being said, there’s still so much to look forward to in the drama from now until then. This Friday, April 12 episode will introduce actress Morena Baccarin, as she plays Mickey, a Sheriff’s Deputy.
Depending on how fans react to this new character, she could get promoted to a regular on Fire Country or a spin-off of her own.
This week’s show is Episode 7, in Season 2, and is titled “Alert the Sheriff”. Spoilers for the show note that a fire camp inmate will escape from Three Rock, and Mickey will be brought in to investigate. Added teasers hint that she’ll have a shocking link to Leones.
